China's colour TV set producers are exporting more high-end TV sets as low-end sets have been barred by anti-dumping tariffs.
The Ministry of Commerce indicates that in the first half of this year, China exported 30,000 plasma TVs, valued at over 55 million US dollars, almost 300 times as much as last year, China Radio International reported Friday.
The export of high-end liquid crystal display or LCD colour TV sets grew 80 percent year-on-year with a total value of 210 million US dollars.
The US Commerce Department announced on June 3rd it would impose dumping duties on China-made cathode ray tube TV sets that have 21-inch screens or larger.
The effect has forced domestic TV producers to shift their product structure and to mainly focus on high-end TV sets.
