Romania wins women's eight final

Romania, gold medalists in 2003 Lucerne World Cup, loaded over women's eight final of the Athens Olympic rowing, finishing in 6:17.70 here on Sunday.

The United States, winners in 2004 Munich and Lucerne World Cups, finished in 6:19.56 and took the silver.

The Netherlands bagged the bronze in 6:19.85.
