Prime Minister Jose Maria Pereira Neves of Cape Verde arrived here Tuesday morning for a six-day official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

This is Neves' first visit to China. Beside Beijing, he is alsoscheduled to visit Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, and Shanghai.
