Macro-control policy moving towards designed goal: vice-premier
font size

Vice-Premier Huang Ju said in Beijing Tuesday that China's economic macro-control policy is moving toward its goal steadily as anticipated and his country's economy is advancing with a good momentum.

Huang told Anne Krueger, visiting First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and her party that China has continued the opening of the financial market in an orderly way, the in-depth reform of its financial institutions and state-owned commercial banks as well as the reform of rural credit cooperatives following its accession to the World Trade Organization in late 2001.

Huang briefed Krueger about China's sound overall economic development and the sustained growth of the Chinese economy, and said that China hopes to advance its good cooperative relations with the IMF.

"China's continuous economic growth will inject new vigor into the development of the world economy," said the Chinese vice-premier.
