Russian Isinbayeva Yelena won the gold medal of women's pole vault with new world record of 4.91 meters at the Athens Olympic Games on August 24.

Isinbayeva cleared 4.91 meters in her first attempt to beat her own world record of 4.90 meters set up on July 30, 2004.
Her compatriot Svetlana Feofanova finished second in 4.75 meters and Anna Rogowska got the bronze in 4.70 meters.
