Chinese triathlete Xing Lin was disqualified from the competition halfway of the Athens Olympic women's triathlon in Athens on August 25.
The other Chinese Wang Hongni stayed in the field at the 39th place after two events, finishing the 1,500 meters swim in 20 minutes and 39 seconds, the 40 kilometers cycling in 20 minutes and 57 seconds, and 18 seconds in transition.
The 25-year-old Xing Lin, who finished 29th after the swim leg, was caught up in her fourth lap of the bike race by the leader, Susan Williams of the United States, and was pulled out in accordance to the competition rules.
Also four other triathletes withdrew from the race, as Maxine Seear of Australia, Carla Moreno and Sandra Soldan of Brazil, and Lucie Zelenkova of the Czech Republic did not finish the cycling leg.
