Li Guixian, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), held talks here Friday with Leonid Drachevsky,Russian President's Representative to the Siberian federal district.

Li and Drachevsky, co-chairmen of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD), exchanged views on the committee's work.

On April 23, 1997, Chinese president Jiang Zemin and Russian President Boris Yeltsin announced the establishment of the CRFCPD,intended to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
