China condemns terrorist attack against Russian aircraft
font size

China strongly condemned terrorist attacks resulting in the crash of two Russian passenger planes, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan Sunday.

Kong said China opposes terrorism in all its manifestations and firmly supports Russian government's crackdown on it. China is willing to cooperate with the international community, including Russia, to fight terrorism, separatism and extremism for the sake of global peace and stability.

Two Russian airliners crashed almost simultaneously near Moscow on Tuesday, killing at least 89 passengers and crew members.

Russian security officials said Friday that one of the two airliners was brought down by terrorist blasts, after finding traces of explosives in the plane's wreckage.
