China introduces modern human resource program
font size

China has launched an advanced training program for human resource management with joint efforts from the International Public Management Association for Human Resources of the United States.

Chen Yangjin, deputy-director of the State Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs (SBFEA), made the remark Monday at a working conference for 32 authorized training organizations under the program.

He said that human resource, which is of critical significance for international competition, has drawn more and more attention from Chinese leaders. SBFEA, as the administration in charge of introducing foreign intelligence, is responsible for sending out domestic personnel for study and bringing in advanced teaching methods and training programs from abroad.

Shi Kan, an expert of human resource development with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said China needs more and more human resource management professionals along with the country's opening-up and reform process.

Despite the positive impact brought by foreign human resource training programs, China should establish certain administrations in charge of the localization of teaching materials and exam systems due to different cultural backgrounds, Shi said.
