Hungary claims men's water polo title

Hungary defended men's water polo Olympic title by beating Serbia and Montenegro 8-7 in Athens on August 29 at the Athens Olympic Games.

Gergely Kiss led the Hungary team with four points in his six shots, Tamas Kasas added two.

"To win two consecutive Olympic golds is wonderful," said Denes Kemeny, head coach of Hungary.

Aleksander Sapic scored two points for Serbia and Montenegro.

Hungary claimed the title at 2000 Sydney Olympic Game.

Early on Sunday, the host Greece was defeated by Russia in the bronze medal play-off.
