Edmund Ho: Let youngsters engage more in Macao's affairsMacao's chief executive elected Edmund Ho Hau Wah on Sunday extended his hope that talented and aspiring young people in Macao should accumulate more political experience so as to succeed the exercise of "Macao people governing Macao." In answering a question raised by Xinhua at a press conference soon after the election for Macao's second-term chief executive, Ho said that successors in the cause of "Macao people governing Macao" should shoulder the responsibilities towards Macao and the motherland. "In the next five years, we should encourage young people to get more involved in all kinds of political affairs in cultivating their abilities to ascend to important posts both in the SAR government and in the society," said Ho. He noted that people from administrative, legislative, law-enforcing, social service sectors are all important parts practising "Macao people governing Macao."
