The 13th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference closed on Tuesday in Bergen, Norway, with an agreement to strengthen cooperation in the region.

The conference, which opened on August 30, discussed sustainable development, protection of the marine environment and other region issues, said a press release.

The conference agreed to strengthen parliamentary co-operation in the region, said the press release.

The 14th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference will be held on August 2005 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
