An Iranian official on Wednesday said that Iran's nuclear case would not be referred to the UN Security Council, the official IRNA news agency reported."

According to the information I have received, I predict thatthe next session of International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA)Board of Governors will not be a complicated or hot one," Ali AkbarSalehi, Iran's former representative to the IAEA, was quoted assaying.

Salehi stressed that Iran should avoid a hasty and uncalculatedmove, saying that "we should adopt wise decisions on due time.""The IAEA has admitted that Iran is not responsible for theuranium contamination of some parts. The agency definitely knowsthat uranium enrichment has not been carried out in Iran and wetake it as a favorable decision," he added.

"The remaining issues are legal, and it may be declared that thelegal issues would require further study," he said.

As to the resumption of enrichment uranium, Salehi stressed thatthe issue was something special that the authorities shouldannounce their own views.

"The authorities will make their decisions in light of thecurrent developments and changes which may take place in thefuture," said Salehi.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that IAEA said Iran might behonest when it claimed that the uranium contamination found by theIAEA inspectors had come from some imported equipments.Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi cautiously hailedIAEA's claim, terming it as a "positive step."

The IAEA will hold a board of governors' meeting in Vienna inSeptember, with Iran's nuclear issue high on the agenda.Iran has been consistently denying the US accusation that it issecretly developing atomic weapons, asserting that its nuclearresearch is fully peaceful and US accusation is politicallymotivated.

The Sudanese government and the rebels would move on to issues of security, and political, economic and social arrangements in Darfur.
