Chinese state councilor meets Romanian guests

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met On September 2 with the family of the late Romanian doctor and friend of China, David Iancu.

Iancu, who passed away in 1990, came to China with a group of European doctors in 1939. During China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he saved many wounded people and actively trained Chinese medical workers.

During the meeting, Tang expressed welcome to Iancu's family members and praised Iancu's contribution to the cause of Chinese liberation during the war.

The state councilor also briefed Iancu's family members on the tremendous changes which have taken place in China since it implemented the reform and opening-up policy.
