Israeli helicopters fire missiles on Gaza campsIsraeli helicopters Friday night fired two or three missiles on a refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, witnesses said. The witnesses said that the missiles hit a warehouse in the Mughazi refugee camp and set it on fire. The building was severely damaged, but no immediate news of casualties was reported, Palestinian security officials said. Israeli army said the building was owned by a well-known Hamas militant "who is involved in the manufacture of explosive devices", which was strongly denied by the owner Moussa Kanadel, a prominent merchant who local residents said has no ties to Hamas. Three months ago, the warehouse was also targeted by Israeli missiles because of being allegedly "used to make rockets". Israeli helicopters have repeatedly attacked "weapons workshops" in Gaza, which the army said to produce rockets and bombs to be used for attacks against Israelis. Source: Xinhua |
