Olympic champions visit Hong Kong

Chinese Olympic gold medallists have arrived in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to celebrate their Olympic victory with locals and collect a kilo of pure gold.

Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa and the President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, Timothy TT Fok, greeted the Olympic Champions at the airport.

The delegation is headed by Yuan Weimin, Minister of the State General Administration of Sports, and includes the 50 athletes who brought home 32 gold medals at the Athens Olympic Games.

Well known coaches like Chinese shooting team coach Xu Haifeng and women��s volleyball team coach Chen Zhonghe also travelled with the group.

The medallists will spend three days demonstrating their badminton, table tennis, volleyball and diving skills to Hong Kong locals before going on to their next stop, the Macao Special Administrative Region.
