National mourning observed in Russia
Russia has begun two days of national mourning to commemorate the more than 350 children and adults who died in the bloody school siege. Flags are at half mast and all recreation activities and programs across the country have been cancelled, China Radio International reported Monday.

Terrorists attacked a school in North Ossetia and took over 1,000 students, parents and teachers hostage. 335 hostages, nearly half of them students, were killed and more than 700 wounded.

The international community has condemned the atrocity and expressed support to the action the Russian special forces took.

31 terrorists were killed in the fighting and one terrorist has been arrested.
