    Meeting marking Sichuan-Tibet and Qinghai-Tibet highways' open to traffic

    The photo taken on Sept 8 shows representatives from the armed police and transportation departments that work on the Sichuan-Tibet and Qinghai-Tibet highways at a meeting marking the 50th anniversary of the highways' open to traffic in Lhasa. The construction of the two highways completed in 1954. Over the past 50 years, more than 200 million tons of materials from the inland are transported to Tibet through the two highways.

    A video taken by the terrorists inside the besieged Russian school last week, aired Tuesday on Russia's NTV television, shows more details of the horrorible scenes.
    About 1,200 people, mostly children, were taken hostages in the 48-hour siege at the No.1 Middle School in Russia's North Ossetian town of Beslan on Sept. 1.     Fire in pharmaceutical workshop kills three in Zhejiang

    Flames are seen at a pharmaceutical workshop of Lixin Chemicals and Pharmaceutics Co. Ltd. in Jinhua, east China's Zhejiang Province Sept. 7, 2004. A blast occurred at around 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the workshop and started a fire that burnt for nearly two hours, killing three workers and injuring four others.

    65 nanometer(nm) process technology
