A US helicopter crashed near the western Iraqi city of Fallujah on Wednesday and the four crew were evacuated, the US military said in a statement.

"All four personnel aboard a Multi-National Force helicopter that crashed in the Al Anbar Province Wednesday were evacuated from the crash site," the statement said.

"None of the personnel have life-threatening injuries and allare expected to fully recover," it added.

But the US military did not provide further details about the type of the helicopter and the cause of the crash.
