font size

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met Friday with Sam Mok, chief financial officer of the Department of Labor of the United States.

Tang spoke highly of contributions that Chinese in the US or Chinese Americans have made to the development of Sino-US relations. In the past dozens of years, an important role that they have played in promoting bilateral ties can not be replaced by any other groups, said Tang.

Tang said he hoped those Chinese residing in the US to make more efforts to promote the friendly and sound development of Sino-US relations.

Sam Mok, a Chinese American himself, and his party are visiting China at the invitation of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.

During their visit, they exchanged views with concerned Chinese institutions on issues of labor, social security, financial budget and auditing.
