Federer and Henman set up US Open semi-final showdown

World No.1 Roger Federer put on an impressive display of serving and shot making to beat Andre Agassi 6-3, 2-6, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 and reach the semi-finals of the US Open.

The Swiss top seed will now face Britain's Tim Henman, who beat Slovakia's Dominik Hrbaty, for a place in Sunday's final, reported China Radio International Friday.

In the women's tournament, Lindsay Davenport will face Svetlana Kuznetsova and Jennifer Capriati plays Elena Dementieva with the winners advancing to Saturday night's final.

They are the unlikely survivors after all the top seeds bowed out of the tournament, including defending champion Justine Henin-Hardenne, Serena Williams, Anastasia Myskina and Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova.
