Albania will firmly adhere to the "one-China" policy and develop further friendship, cooperation with China, Albanian Prime Minister Fatos Nano told Xinhua before his landmark visit to China scheduled on Monday.

Nano, who will be the first Albanian prime minister to visit China in 38 years, said he wanted to learn about China's success in economic development and exchange ideas in various aspects with Chinese leaders.

"This year is the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and China, I believe my visit will not only further promote cooperation but also deepen the traditional friendship between the two counties," the Albanian leader said.

Nano said that Albania appreciates China's important role in fighting against international terrorism and safeguarding the world peace and stability.

The prime goal of Albania now is to integrate itself into the development of globalization, said the prime minister, adding the cooperation with China plays a special important role in achieving such a goal.
