Chinese products fair opens in Jordan

A Chinese products fair opened Wednesday afternoon in Jordan's capital of Amman, with about 80 Chinese companies attending.

The four-day fair is staged at the Amman International Automotive Exhibition Center, participated by Chinese exhibitors specialized in building, home electrical appliances, machinery and hardware, communication equipment, textile and garments.

As the biggest Chinese products show held in Jordan in 20 years, the main products to be exhibited include water faucet, cleaning machines, tubes, pipes, lights, valves, building materials, floor boards, fittings, water heater materials, locks, aluminum products, mobile phone accessories, textiles, craftworks, office furniture, chain-less bicycles, tires, batteries, shoes and cans.

Linden Sun, sales manager of Guangdong Kelon Electrical Holdings Company told Xinhua that their sales in Jordan and Iraq are quite well, which had reached 10 million US dollars up to August 2004.

He added that they want to seek more market opportunities through this exhibition.

The main participating companies include Haier, Kelon, ZhongXing and Shanghai Meilin.
