Chinese trade union chief meets African guests

Wang Zhaoguo, president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, met here Friday with a delegation of the Democratic Organization of African Workers Trade Union.

Wang, also member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee told Toolsyraj Benydin, president of the organization and head of the delegation, that friendly ties with African countries are important to China.

As both developing regions, China and Africa support each other in international affairs, Wang said, who is also vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

The All-China Federation of Trade Unions attaches importance to the friendly cooperative ties with African trade unions, including the Democratic Organization of African Workers Trade Union, he said.

Benydin said that cooperation with the All-China Federation of Trade Unions is important to his organization, adding that his China tour will help the two sides to learn from each other and promote future cooperation.

The delegation was guest of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
