Investment in cities and towns slows down

The monthly report of the State Statistics Bureau indicates that total investment in project worth over 500, 000 yuan has amounted to 3, 218.6 bln yuan from January to August.

From January to August, investment in the 1st industry increases by 16. 3 percent as against corresponding period of last year, 1.3 percent higher than that of the first seven months; investment in the 2nd industry rises by 41.7 percent, and investment in the 3rd industry rises by 23.9 percent, 0.8 percent and 0.7 percent lower than that of the first seven months respectively.
