font size

The forces said in a statement sent to the press these listening devices had been planted 10 years ago by the Israeli army into the walls of al Saraya, the main Palestinian headquarters for all the Palestinian security apparatuses.

Israel had occupied the Gaza Strip in 1967 and had been using alSaraya as their military command and as a central prison. It had evacuated it after the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) took over in 1994.

A senior Palestinian security official said the engineering unit of the Palestinian military intelligence had discovered on Wednesday a net of tiny sophisticated electronic sets.

The official, who spoke on conditions of anonymity, said  the sedevices are so special for listening and were hidden into some walls of the buildings of al Saraya, adding tiny cameras and sounds devices were also found.

The official said the devices are connected with batteries that are charged automatically by the heat and the warms of the walls.
