    Chinese students bag all gold medals in IOI

    The four Chinese students win all the gold medals and team's championship at the 16th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) in Athens, Greece on September 17. The four medallists are Hu Weidong (L2) and Li Shi (R1) from Hunan Province, Lou Yuancheng (R2) from Zhejiang Province and Li Rong (L1) from Hebei Province. Chinese once again sweep the gold medals in the competition since their debut in 1989.

    Leaping over a 3.8-meter-wide gap from a platform onto the edge of an attic, Chinese Kongfu (martial art) master Ge Qiang stunts the spectators in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Sept.18, 2004. Through 20 years of hard training, Ge Qiang even can leap onto roofs and vault over walls like a "Spider Man".

    Largest Chinese-run bazaar opens in Johannesburg

    Some customers have a rest in the Crown Square, the largest Chinese-run bazaar in South Africa, and jointly invested by more than 100 Chinese companies, in Johannesburg September 18, 2004. The Crown Square covering 44,000 square meters opened Sunday and consists of 128 shops currently.

    Tour around Africa to raise fund for sick children

Eleven Belgian pilots began world's first tour around Africa Saturday, to raise fund for African sick children. The tour along the east coast of Africa, will take 30 days to reach South Africa's Cape Town. Then in February, 2005, the pilots take their homeward journey along the west coast of Africa.
