Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi left Monday for visits to Russia and Sweden at the invitation of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov and Swedish Deputy Prime Minister Lars Engqvist.

During her visit to Russia, Wu will co-chair with Zhukov the eighth meeting of the committee for the regular meeting of the prime ministers of China and Russia, accompany Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on his visit to Russia and attend the ninth regular meeting of the two prime ministers. She will pay an official visit to Sweden after her Russia tour.
