Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met here Monday with delegations from Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and the Turkey-China Friendship Group under the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

In two separate meetings with BSP Chairman Sergei Stanishev and the Chairman Salih Kapusuz of the Turkey-China Friendship Group respectively, Wang briefed the guests on the four-day Fourth Plenum of the 16th CPC Central Committee, which concluded Sunday and came up with a communique calling for enhancing the CPC's governance capability.

Stanishev said Bulgaria shows great admiration for the CPC's move to enhance the party's governance capability, hoping for sharing experience and views with the CPC.

In meeting with Kapusuz, Wang spoke highly of the contributions the Turkey-China Friendship Group has made to the development of bilateral relations, saying China is ready to make joint efforts to lift bilateral friendship to a new level.

Kapusuz said it is in Turkey's interests for China to maintain stability and prosperity, and Turkey will as always adhere to one-China policy to push forward bilateral relations.

At the Fourth Plenum of the 16th CPC Central Committee, which concluded here Sunday, Chinese President Hu Jintao succeeded Jiang Zemin as chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission.
