High-Tech Olympics website launched
font size

In order to promote the concept of a "high-tech Olympics," and report the progress made in the 2008 Beijing Games, a new websitewww.hitech2008.org.cnhas been launched.

The website, available in both Chinese and English, has been developed by the Olympic Science and Technology Action Plan Leading Group and the Science and Technology Committee for the Games of the 29th Olympiad, China Radio International reported Tuesday.

Vice-chairman of Science and Technology Committee for the 2008 Games Deng Nan says the website can promote the concept of a high-tech Olympics, act as a bridge for communication, improve working efficiency and strengthen ties between the Beijing Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and venue construction departments.

It also serves as a platform to exhibit scientific achievements.
