British hostage pleads Tony Blair to save him
font size

British hostage Kenneth Bigley, facing a death threat from his kidnappers in Iraq, pleaded to Prime Minister Tony Blair to save his life, according to a video posted on an Islamist website Wednesday.

In the video which could not be authenticated, the presumed hostage, whose face is blurred, introduces himself as Ken Bigley from Liverpool.

"I think this is possibly my last chance to speak to you," said the hostage. "I need you to help me now Mr. Blair, because you are the only person on God's earth who can help me."

"I don't want to die. I don't deserve ... Please free female prisoners held in Iraqi prisons."

Bigley along with his two American colleagues were abducted from their house in Baghdad on Thursday.

Eugene Armstrong and Jack Hensley were decapitated by their captors, the al Qaida-linked Tawhid and Jihad (Unity and Holy War)group on Monday and Tuesday, as its demand for the release of Iraqi women prisoners had not been met.
