font size

Two Egyptians working for a telecoms company in Baghdad were abducted from their offices overnight by a group of armed men, Iraq's Interior Ministry said on Friday.

The gunmen came by a black BMW to a house in al-Harthiya district, where the Egyptians live, and tied up the guards outside the house, the Ministry spokesman Adnan Abdul-Rahman said.

The kidnapping took place late Thursday night, he added.

The two Egyptians worked for Iraqna, a mobile telecommunications company which cover Baghdad and central Iraq. The company had no immediate information on the incident.
