Vietnam on Thursday inaugurated an online business database and e-trading floor for Vienamese and Chinese enterprises in a move to fully tap the great trade cooperation potential between the two countries.
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan pressed the starting button of the Vietnamchinalink database in the form of a website when attending a seminar entitled "Strengthen Vietnam-China Economic and Trade Relations" jointly held by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
The website, written in the three languages of Chinese, Vietnamese and English, offers updated information about Vietnamese and Chinese markets, trade policies and business opportunities of the two countries, helping enterprises easily seek partners and conduct online transactions. Its major sections include "Hot Products", "Vietnam-China Trade Relation" and "South West China Databank".
Up to 570 Chinese and Vietnamese companies, including 200 Chinese ones, have showcased their products and sought business opportunities via the website, its owner, VCCI, said.
The one-day seminar, jointly held by the CCPIT and the VCCI, was attended by government officials and some 200 enterprises of China and Vietnam. It also marked the inauguration of the Vietnam-China Business Forum and Council.
