CPC leader urges enhancing governance capability of the Party

A senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has urged teachers and students of party schools of all levels to study the decisions of the recently concluded plenum of the CPC Central Committee and strive to raise the Party's governance capability to a new level.

Zeng Qinghong, who is a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and President of the Party School of CPC Central Committee, made the remarks Friday when addressing 2,300 teachers and students at the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.

Zeng said that enhancing the party's ruling capabilities has emerged as a significant issue with a bearing on the future of both the country and the Party itself.

The plenum, which closed here Sunday, has made all-round arrangements for strengthening the Party's governing capability, said Zeng. The resolution adopted at the plenum is bound to play an important role in guiding the Party to improve this capability and advance Party building.

Zeng urged Party school students to study the resolution, so as to train a contingent of high-calibre cadres that can shoulder the responsibility of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
