World mega cities development forum opens in China

The First High Level Forum of the World Mega Cities Development opened in Nantong Saturday for promoting exchanges and cooperation among the mega and big cities in the world.

More than 300 participants, including more than 100 mayors from 25 countries and 16 Chinese mayors of Yangtze River Delta, attended the forum in Nantong, a city located in Yangtze River Delta where boasts most of Chinese mega cities.

At the invitation of the forum, Several politicians, including Fidel Lamos, former President of Philippines, Lee Sou Sung, former Prime Minister of Republic of Korea, Jenny Shipley, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, are expected to give speeches.
