China helps college graduates find jobs
font size

A senior official from China's Ministry of Education says the Chinese government has issued a string of policies aimed at helping college graduates find jobs.

Director of the College Students Department of China's Ministry of Education, Lin Huiqing says by September 1st, above seventy percent of Chinese college graduates were employed, 560,000 more than last year.

2.8 million college students graduated this year in China. The increase in the number of college graduates aggravates the already tough employment market.

To cope with the problem, China is actively encouraging graduates to find jobs in places away from their schools and hometowns.

The students are also encouraged to start at entry levels in enterprises or set up their own businesses.

Colleges in China have also given employment orientation courses to graduates.
