The appraisal result for "China's 10 new landmark building complexes in 2004" was published the other day by "China Real Estate TOP10 Research Group". The group is composed of the Enterprise Office of the Research and Development Center of the State Council, Real Estate Research Institute of Tsinghua University and China Index Research Institution.
"China's 10 new landmark building complexes in 2004" include the Central Square of Financial Street in Beijing, Nanjing International Plaza, Chongqing Fortune Center, Wuhan New World Trade Center, Shenyang Wulihe City, West Lake Cultural Square in Hangzhou, Shanghai Hong Kong New World Plaza, Lanhua International Building in Beijing, Jiacheng Plaza in Beijing and the Waterfront Garden in Ningbo.
The New Landmark Building Complexes refer to the projects completed or underway after 2003, said Dr. Wang Yong of China Index Research Institute at the press conference of the State Council held here. They are the large groups of buildings of over 50,000 square meters that can functioned for doing businesses office buildings, hotels, apartments and parks and schools.
The research indicates that these new building complexes are generally very large in scope and scale. The total floor space reached more than 27 million square meters. Among them, 65 percent have the following four basic functions of being used as hotels, office buildings, apartments and for business purposes. This also represents the function disposition of the most newly put-up building complexes.
