EU to move quotas on Chinese textile
font size

The European Union has reiterated that it will abolish quotas on Chinese textile and garments from January 1st, 2005.

The EU made the decision, though some organizations of textile and garments oppose it, reported China Radio International.

The EU also announced that, if Chinese textile undermines the development of the EU textile industry after the quota is cancelled, it will take steps to protect its industry.

China and the EU are holding talks on allowing access for EU products to Chinese market.
