FDI floods into HK

Hong Kong received 51.7 billion HK dollars of foreign direct investment in the first six months of this year more than the same period of last year, up 40 percent.

The investment is also a 40 percent increase on the same period of last year, reported China Radio International.

The United Nations has reported recently that 13.6 billion US dollars came into Hong Kong last year, up 40 percent from 2002.

Last year, Hong Kong became the second largest foreign direct investment destination in the Asia-Pacific region with the Chinese mainland as the largest.
