State companies pillar of China's economy: vice premier
font size

State-own companies are the pillar of China's economy, said Vice-Premier Huang Ju in Beijing Wednesday.

Huang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, met with a group model workers and representatives of model firms who were just nominated by the State Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. The conference is to reward the model employees and state-run factories.

Huang said the selfless and innovative laboring of model workers have contributed to the enormous achievements in the country's economic development. The spirits of model workers must be greatly propagated, in an effort to depend on the Working Class heart and soul and display the main force role of the Working Class, the official noted.

He urged all state company staffs to continue displaying the main force role of the Working Class and to make greater contribution under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Hu Jintao as the general secretary. This can be done by upholding the great banners of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the Important Thought of the "Three Represents."
