Nigerian rebel leader agrees ceasefire with govt.

Alhaji Asari Dokubo, head of an armed militia group in the oil-rich Niger Delta of Nigeria, said here Wednesday that he agreed a ceasefire with the government.The group called the Niger Delta People's Volunteer Force (NDPVF) on Monday announced that it would launch an "all-time war against Nigeria" from Oct. 1 and advised all oil majors to leave the Niger Delta.
