China higher education exhibition held in Canada

A two-day 21st Century China Higher Education Exhibition opened in Toronto on October 1.

More than 40 universities from Beijing, Shanghai and some provinces of China are participating in the exhibition sponsored by China's Education Ministry and China Education Association for International Exchange and China Center for International Educational Exchange.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Yuan Guiren, deputy minister of China' Education Ministry said that the exhibition is the largest ever held in North America. He believed that with this event, the cooperation between the two countries in education willbe further strengthened.

A Canadian Parliament member delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. He spoke highly of the education cooperation between the two countries.

He said education is an important pillar for the relations between the two countries and he hoped that more efforts will be made to promote educational cooperation between the two countries.
