The famous French Air Force aerobatics squad, "Patrouille de France (PAF)," arrived in Wuhan Tuesday to prepare for the upcoming performance on October 16.
The PAF, who performed in Beijing Monday afternoon, will practice October 14 in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province in central China. The group is scheduled to visit the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Zhuhai, a coastal city of south China's Guangdong Province.
The aerobatics show, previously scheduled to be staged on Oct. 7 in Beijing, was postponed until Monday afternoon because of low visibility and heavy fog in the past few days. Local weather forecasts in Wuhan showed the city would enjoy good visibility on October 16, which is conducive for the performance to be staged as planned.
Sources with the Wuhan municipal government said that preparation for the performance was well under way.
The PAF, founded in 1931, enjoys a good reputation in the international community. As a key program of the French Culture Year in China, the aerobatics show during this China tour will bring French culture and spirit to China, according to a Chinese sponsor.
