With Poland's accession to the European Union, new channels and possibility of cooperation will be brought about to further substantialize the bilateral friendly, cooperative partnership, said Polish ambassador to China Ksawery Burski in Beijing Friday.
Burski made the remarks at a reception held by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) to mark the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Poland.
Terming China as Poland's most important partner in Asia, Burski said the Polish government is ready to further its trade and economic cooperation with China, and stands for an overall promotion of bilateral relationship in their political, cultural, educational and information sectors.
Wang Yunze, CPAFFC vice president, said that despite changes in international and domestic situation, Sino-Polish relations have been developing smoothly over the past 55 years.
Leaders of the two countries have maintained frequent contacts, with their political, mutual trust continuously increasing, noted Wang, adding the mutually beneficially cooperation keeps expanding in the fields of culture, education, science and technology.
Approximately 70 officials and personages of various circles from the two countries attended the reception.
China and Poland established their diplomatic relations on October 7, 1949.
