Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao told visiting President of Norwegian Parliament Jorgen A. Kosmo Sunday that China hopes to expand wide-range cooperation with Norway.

Wen said during a meeting with Kosmo that China is ready to advance cooperation with Norway in areas of trade, investment, environmental protection, energy, fishing as well as in international affairs.

"With joint efforts, I believe bilateral relationship will grow in a comprehensive way," Wen said.

Kosmo's visit to China coincided with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Norway.

The Norwegian parliament leader said his country attaches great importance to its relations with China and greatly admires China's economic miracles and its role in world affairs.

Kosmo said Norway and China share common interests, adding that based on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Norway hopes to push forward such relations.
