Jordan's king, Moussa discuss Middle East issues

King Abdullah affirmed the necessity of the commitment of thePalestinians and the Israelis in implementing the roadmap,stressing that the rise of the acts of violence threatens theestablishment of an independence Palestinian state.

He urged the Palestinians to intensify their efforts to form aclear vision and to implement the reforms which enable them to beactive partners in the peace process.

The king said that Jordan, through its continued efforts and itsrelations with the international community, will pay its effort torevive the peace process and to help the Palestinian people.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments regardingthe Iraqi issue and means of restoring security and stability inthe war-torn country.

For his part, Moussa briefed Abdullah on the efforts of theSecretariat General of the Arab League to put an end to thesituation in the region.

The AL secretary general, who arrived here Monday for a workingvisit, also reviewed the efforts to develop the Arab League and toactivate its role in all fields.
