China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has announced a major campaign in October to inspect the quality and production of agricultural fertilizers nationwide.
The inspection will focus on the producers and sellers of fake or inferior fertilizers and other capital goods that infringe on the interests of farmers.
Enterprises that produce fake fertilizers that are of bad quality will be posted on the Internet.
Farmers will be encouraged and rewarded to report fake products.
The General Administration will work with the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and the All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives on the campaign.
