China's tax revenue totaled 1.9257 trillion yuan (232.57 billion US dollars) in the first three quarters, an year-on-year increase of 26.3 percent or 401.4 billion yuan, according to the State Administration of Taxation.
The growth rate was 25.4 percent, 26.9 percent and 25.8 percenton a quarterly basis, the administration said.
A coordinated increase was registered in major taxes including value added tax, consumption tax, business tax, enterprise income tax of Chinese and foreign companies, individual income tax and customs duties, and in eastern, central and western regions.
The administration saw the growth as a result of the government's macro-economic control efforts, saying that the growth of taxes from steel, construction materials and installation sectors began to slow down since May.
Improved services of taxation departments at various levels also contributed to the stable increase in tax revenue.
