font size

Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan Monday spoke highly of the role of China's small and medium-sized businesses, in particular their function in increasing employment, vitalizing markets and boosting economic growth.

Zeng made the remark in a letter of congratulations to the opening ceremony of China's first fair for small and medium-sized businesses, which was held in Guangzhou, capital city of south China's Guangdong Province.

He hoped the fair would help China's small and medium-sized enterprises to exhibit products, build up their own brands, exchange information and expand business opportunities.

He also urged small and medium-sized enterprises to grasp this opportunity to enhance their management and technological level for further exploring home and overseas markets.

The fair has offer 1,860 booths to showcase handicrafts, textiles, garments, hardware, food and other products made by small- and medium-sized enterprises.
