Four Hong Kong Immigration Officers will attend an exchange study program in the Republic of Korea on Sunday, according to a government press release.

The four officers will attend a two-week exchange program with the South Korean Immigration authorities.

The objective of the program is to share working experiences and to strengthen the communication and cooperation between the two authorities in combating the use of forged documentation and illegal migration.

The four Immigration officers will attend one-week lecture seminars on Immigration Service affairs arranged by South Korean Immigration. The seminar enables the officers to have a better understanding of Korean immigration policy, intelligence work, anti-forgery measures and the development of the Korean Immigration Bureau.

They will also visit the South Korean Immigration Headquarters,Seoul District and Busan District Immigration Offices, the border and harbor control points as well as the Gimhae airport.

Under the exchange program, four officers from the South KoreanImmigration authorities attended an exchange study program in HongKong hosted by the Immigration Department in August.
